BECOMING A PATROLLER

The Donner Ski Patrol is a unit of the National Ski Patrol which provides patrol services for Donner Ski Ranch, one of the oldest and most traditional ski areas in the country. DSP is an old-fashioned, family-friendly patrol, like the resort it services. We welcome you to join us in serving the public, becoming best friends and having a roaring good time in the snow.

In order to become a patroller, begin by reading About the Ski Patrol.

You must call or email our leader, Keith Romig (530 741-3210), talk to him and be invited to join. You then sign up for an Outdoor Emergency Care course. After successfully completing the OEC course, you spend a candidate year with the patrol learning how to provide emergency care on the snow and transport your patient safely.
